Vestas workers are occupying their factory on the Isle of Wight. Bosses want to move production abroad to China and the US with the loss of 625 jobs. This is despite making over £34 million in profits in the first quarter of this year alone - up 70 per cent on last year.
Workers a the wind turbine production plant are demanding nationalisation and restoration of their jobs. Trade Unionists and climate change activists are supporting them.
Solidarity Executive member David Kerr said:-
"We are behind the Vestas workers 100 per cent. British jobs must be protected."
