Angry postal workers walked out in London yesterday. More than 5,000 took part in protest at continued attempts to slash jobs and make those remaining take on extra burdens for less money. Mount Pleasant and Bow sorting centres (Britain's largest) were amongst those disrupted.
The London strike drew support from other areas planning to take action later this week.
Solidarity members working in the Postal Service should support all local strikes and help co-ordinate them for maximum impact. Those who hold joint membership with the CWU should vote Yes for a National Strike. The destruction of our Postal Service must be halted and the bullying bosses brought to heel.
