The Patriotic Socialist manifesto for the 2015 General Election contains a number of proposals for reform of the welfare system and employment rights. The Party is standing in two seats in the General Election - Batley and Spen and Newbury.
The Party manifesto call for Nationalisation or re-Nationalisation of "key industries and institutions, including British utilities, telecommunications, transport infrastructure and the Bank of England." It also calls for the introduction of "new regulatory measures for businesses and companies in the private sector in order to protect consumers and workers rights".
Patrick Harrington, general secretary of Solidarity, commented: "There are some interesting proposals in this manifesto but I would have liked to see more detail. The section dealing with disability benefits has concrete proposals but other sections are quite vague. It also concerns me that a limit on child benefit to two children and limits to housing benefit to houses with three rooms is proposed. It is not clear why the Party wishes to disadvantage larger families or extended families who choose to live together."
